  • 1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste

DIRECTIONS FOR Chicken Teriyaki Recipe PREPARATION:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS - TERIYAKI CHICKEN
  1. Season 1.5 pounds of chicken thighs with all-purpose (AP) seasoning and chicken bouillon powder to taste.

  2. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of low sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of garlic and ginger paste, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix well to create the teriyaki sauce.

  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of oil. When the oil is hot, sear the seasoned chicken thighs for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are browned.

  4. Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the seared chicken thighs. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS -WHITE RICE
  1. While the chicken is simmering, prepare white rice according to the package instructions. This typically takes about 15-20 minutes.


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS -STEAMED BROCCOLI
  1. Steam 1 pound of broccoli until it's tender but still crisp, which usually takes about 3-5 minutes.



SERVING
  1. Serve the Teriyaki Chicken over a bed of white rice, with steamed broccoli on the side.

  2. Drizzle the chicken with extra teriyaki sauce from the skillet and garnish with sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
